Austria hosted their under-20 counterparts Sweden and split a pair of friendly games.
Both teams are getting ready for the U20 European Championship Division B Men, which will be held in Oberwart and Güssing, Austria, from July 14-24.
The visitors from Scandinavia won the first clash, 71-51, with Andreas Person pouring in 18 points and Alex Lindqvist 15.
The Austrians got 15 points from Rasid Mahalbasic, who recently took part in the adidas Euro Camp in Treviso, Italy.
Austria got 19 from Mahalbasic in the second encounter and won 73-60.
The coach of the Austrian side, Werner Sallomon, reflected on the two contests.
"The first game was marked by numerous errors," Sallomon said.
"On the one hand, it was the first time the team played with Mahalbasic, who wasn't at the tournament in France.
"On the other hand, we also had physical problems, because we had held normal training without regard to the games. The game was a bit chaotic."
As for his team's victory, the coach said: "We analyzed the situation and implemented some things and did better in the second game.
"Unfortunately, not all players are fully fit and we had to contend with minor injuries.
"But the games have certainly achieved their objective. Overall, I am quite satisfied."
The Austrians are excited about hosting the Division B event this summer.
They will be going up against Belgium, Denmark and Great Britain in Group C.
"From July 1 begins the final stage of preparation with two or three more games," Sallomon said.
"We have a difficult task ahead of us."
