U18 MEN DIVISION B

Timur Bas (Austria)
Timur Bas has already suited up for Austria at last year's U18 European Championship Division B.

Austria coach Gerry Vogler likes what he sees so far in the players that will represent the country this summer at the U18 European Championship Division B in Sarajevo.

Last year's team came in dead last of the 18 sides that competed in the Final Round in Bulgaria, which was won by the hosts.

Austria have just finished their first training camp.

Vogler says the players are in shape and have potential.

"This year there is still a lot of room for improvement," he said.

"We were last at the European Championship last year and we'll take the bull by the horns.

"We can only get better."

The U18 European Championship Division B is staged from 9-19 August in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Austria will compete in Group B, facing Estonia, Czech Republic, Luxembourg and the Slovak Republic.

The Austrians take on Estonia in their first game on 9 August.

Austria preliminary squad: Timur Bas, Valentin Bauer, Elmir Brkic, Djorde Djordevic, Armin Domitner, Benedikt Guttl, Lorenz Haas, Adam Hammerschmidt, Thomas Knor, Patrick Kolb, Laurenz Muller, Florian Pelc, Jakob Poltl, Fabian Richter, Jakob Seifert, Marko Soldo and Georg Wolf.
