Vashington Fires Ural Past Keravnos

Ural Great wrapped up their EuroChallenge Group B campaign on Tuesday night with a 94-81 road win over last-placed Keravnos.

Darius Vashington and Vanja Plisnic each scored 19 points and Jumaine Jones added 17 for the group leaders.

Twelve of Vashington's points came from three-point range as he made four of five (80%) from beyond the arc.

With little riding on the game, Ural allowed Keravnos to live with them for much of the game and the hosts were ahead, 35-31, when Panagiotis Trisokkas slammed home a dunk with 7:13 to go in the second quarter.

But Ural were back in front before half-time and blew the game open with an 11-3 run, capped by Vashington's lay-up, early in the third quarter.

They easily held Keravnos at arm's length the rest of the way to finish the group with a 5-1 record. Keravnos are last at 1-5.

LaMarr Greer led Keravnos with 23 points while Aleksandar Damjanovic had 19 points and 15 rebounds. Trisokkas chipped in with 14 points and Jarrett Hart had 12.
