A first-quarter master-class by UMMC Ekaterinburg propelled the Russian club to a decisive victory at TEO Vilnius in the EuroLeague Women on Wednesday night
Gundars Vetra's side led from start to finish and claimed an 86-37 victory - their fifth win in six Group A games.
The rout was on from the very beginning, when UMMC started with a 14-2 run.
Sandrine Gruda had six points in that early scoring burst for UMMC.
After baskets by Maria Stepanova, Gruda and Deanna Nolan to finish the first quarter, the visitors had a 20-4 stranglehold on the game.
The lead ballooned to 24-6 just 2:29 into the second period after a Stepanova jump shot, and the visitors from Russia continued to pile on the misery for TEO, who have yet to win in the competition.
By half-time, UMMC led 40-16 and there was definitely no way back for the Lithuanian club.
Gruda and Svetlana Abrosimova each had 15 points to lead Ekaterinburg with Stepanova contributing 12.
Also for UMMC, Deanna Nolan had a good all-round game with six points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Milka Bjelica finished with 11 points and six rebounds in defeat.
