Agnieszka Bibrzycka poured in 12 of her team-high 21 points in the first half as UMMC Ekaterinburg rolled to a 91-61 home triumph over TEO Vilnius in the opening game of their EuroLeague Women play-off showdown.

Playing for the first time in Europe under new coach Gundars Vetra, the former CSKA Moscow boss who replaced the sacked Laurent Buffard, Ekaterinburg took a 24-point lead late in the second quarter.

TEO did reel off the final seven points of the first half to trail 47-30 but UMMC responded by scoring the first six points of the third quarter.

Poland international Bibrzycka was five of seven from long range while UMMC drilled eight of 12 overall.

UMMC's Russia national team captain Maria Stepanova weighed in with 17 points and Asjha Jones had 14.

Jurgita Streimikyte had a game-high 23 points along with eight boards in defeat for TEO, who will attempt to level the best-of-three Eighth-Finals tie back in Lithuania on January 30.

There was no doubt about the winner of this game from the opening tip as UMMC scored the contest's first 10 points, with Bibrzycka pouring in four of them.

After TEO closed the gap to 12-6, UMMC scored 12 unanswered points for a commanding advantage.

The last nine points in that 12-0 spurt came off three-balls from Bibrzycka (two) and USA international Cappie Pondexter.

Pondexter finished with 10 points and six assists while Belarus national team center Yelena Leuchanka scored nine and hauled in a team-best eight rebounds.
