Lithuania: Lietuvos Telekomas Find Their Rhythm

Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius followed up their impressive victory over previously-unbeaten US Valenciennes Olympic last week with a more routine triumph over Group C strugglers K Cero I.C.P. Kosice.

Kosice were under the stewardship of new coach Vladimir Karnay after Tibor Jany decided to step down following the team's fifth successive EuroLeague defeat, a 72-58 defeat at Phard Napoli.

The switch failed to bring about a change in fortune though as Kosice crashed to a 71-56 home defeat at the hands of Lietuvos on Wednesday.

The Lithuanian side defeated group leaders USVO 79-75 last week with star guard Katie Douglas scoring a season-high 27 points. The American enjoyed another good game against Kosice, scoring 12 points and claiming eight rebounds, but it was her team-mate Jurgita Streimikyte was stole the show.

The veteran forward paced her side with 16 points and also hauled down nine rebounds and handed out six assists as Lietuvos made it five wins out of six to join USVO at the top of the group.

For the Slovakian hosts, center Tiffani Johnson poured in a game-high 18 points but found precious little support from her team-mates, none of whom managed to join her in double figures.
