Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius rolled over Dynamo Moscow in a battle of heavyweights on Thursday to rejoin US Valenciennes at the top of Group C with six victories and just one defeat.

Jurgita Streimikyte, just several days after her Player of the Week performance inspired Lietuvos Telekomas to a big win over K Cero ICP Kosice, scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as her side prevailed over the Russians, 71-51.

Team-mate Katie Douglas was also in splendid form, pouring in 20 points and pulling down 14 rebounds while also coming up with five steals.

Upset-minded Dynamo stormed out to a 17-8 advantage late in the first quarter with Liudmila Sapova scoring eight, two on three-pointers, in that early burst.

After Lietuvos Telekomas closed to within five, Dynamo re-established a nine-point lead with Tammy Sutton-Brown making a jump shot and then a lay-up for a 21-12 lead early in the second quarter.

The hosts then woke up, going on a 10-0 run to seize a 22-21 lead, with Douglas and Streimikyte each scoring four points in the spurt.

Dynamo moved back in front at 25-22, Kamila Vodickova making four consecutive free throws before Russian international Oxana Rakhmatulina added another basket.

Douglas made a basket and then two free throws, and Streimikyte added a jump shot to put Lietuvos Telekomas back in front. The Lithuanian team would end up closing out the first half on a 5-1 run, for a 35-32 lead, and they reeled off the first six points of the second half.

They would never trail again.

Diana Taurasi, who with fellow USA international Sue Bird have only recently linked up with Dynamo, scored for the visitors but Streimikyte always had an answer, this time burying a jump shot to take her to 17 points on the game for a 43-34 lead with 4:37 to play in the third.

Douglas would shortly after deal the knockout blow, scoring five straight points on a jumper and then a three-point play after she had drawn a foul on a lay-up by Taurasi.

Dynamo ran out of steam as Lietuvos Telekomas pulled away for a decisive win.

The Russian team is in third place in Group C with a 4-2 record.

Sutton-Brown had 13 points to lead Dynamo.
