The one thing that Ros Casares Valencia could not afford in their final home game of the season was a loss. Matched up with Lithuanian side Lietuvos Telekomas Vilnius, that is exactly what they got, losing 60:61. The pill was all the more bitter to swallow due to the fact that Vilnius scored at the buzzer, seriously denting Valencia’s play-off hopes.
For Vilnius, on the other hand, the win was one of the sweetest of the season. Having lost 5 of their 13 games this season by 4 points or less, they were certainly due a victory. |
