Maria Chiara Franchini

Career: Parma (Italy-A1, 1996-97), Valtarese (Italy-A2, 1997-98), Parma (Italy-A1, 1998-99), La Spezia (Italy-A1, 1999-2001), Parma (Italy-A1, 2001-02), Faenza (Italy-A1, 2002-07)

Excellent fundamentals, a top-notch athlete and great work ethic is what most coaches will say when describing Franchini.  Her quiet demeanor may prevent her from being a real star in the Italian game but there is no denying Franchini's usefulness as she can play any preimeter position, shoots well from three-point range and has fast feet that make her a good defender. The Parma native was the "World Adidas Streetball Champion" in 1997 (Milan) and 1998 (Paris).
