While it may be true that Sviatlana Valko didn't quite grab the same kind of recognition at youth level as some of the other young Belarus players on the roster, the 1.71m guard is making up for it at senior level having made a couple of nice cameos last year at the FIBA World Championship Women. She played 16 minutes against Team USA and impressed while in EuroCup Women, shooting the ball very well indeed. She is a threat from three-point distance, shooting over 42% last season, and has shown her thirst to become a more multi-dimensional player by dishing up the odd assist and pulling down her share of rebounds. Buyalski now knows everything he needs to about this hard working guard having coached her at Horizont last season. |
