Career: Crvena zvezda Belgrade (Serbia-A1, 1996-99), University of South Carolina (USA-NCAA, 1999-2002), Szeviep Szeged (Hungary-A1, 2004-06), Virtus Viterbo (Italy-A1, 2006-07), Union Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (France-LFB, 2007)
Last season, spent at Italian club Gescom Viterbo, was by far the best of Ines Ajanovic's career. She received several MVP awards, was the favourite of the club's fans, and was named "Most Improved Player" of the Italian League. Ines went from averaging 10.6 points, 6.1 rebounds in 2005-06 to 14.7 points and 7.3 rebounds last season. Ajanovic honed her skills at the University of South Carolina in the U.S., where she started very unluckily. The school's Media Director tells us the story: "Ines Ajanovic is a player that the USC coaches immediately mention when asked about the nicest surprises from 2001. Finally healthy after fighting shin splints, hospitalized with meningitis and slowed by breaking her nose five times, Ajanovic came back to school last August in the best shape of her life and the hard work paid off". Ajanovic has great strength, and plays very hard on offence and defence. She can score, and be very useful as a rebounder. Although her role with the National Team hasn't been so big in the past, it seems that this could change this summer in Italy.
