Great Britain sealed their place in Europe's divisional play-offs with an 83-51 win against Belarus in Minsk.

It was a tough game which both teams - the best units in the group - needed to win if they were to advance towards next year's EuroBasket 2009 qualifying matches.

Belarus Too Much For Albania

Belarus strolled to an 87-45 win over Albania in EuroBasket 2007 qualifying on Saturday.

Pavel Ulyanko grabbed 15 points for Belarus, who never had to get out of first gear, taking the first quarter 19-7 after Albania had scored the first three points of the game.

Great Britain Come Up Short Against Belarus

Great Britain lost a heartbreaker as Belarus took victory by a single point in the EuroBasket Division B qualifier at Ponds Forge.

A frantic final quarter finished with Britain coming up short as both Andrew Sullivan and Roger Huggins had shots blocked in the dying seconds.

Korshuk Leads Belarus Past Slovakia

Belarus made sure the race to Group B supremacy remained wide open with an 82-59 home triumph at home over Slovakia.

Since dropping their first game at home to the Netherlands, Belarus have beaten Albania and now the Slovaks, who are 2-2.
