Hosts To Take On Czechs For Ninth Place

Hosts Italy knocked off Montenegro 73-51 to advance to the Ninth Placed Game of the U20 European Championship for Women where they take on the Czech Republic - 78-69 winners over Belarus.

Chiara Consolini and Martina Crippa both scored 15 points for Italy, who led 22-10 after one period and never looked back in front of the home fans.

Lithuania Beat Belarus In Another Blowout

Gintare Petronyte scored 32 points as Lithuania notched their second consecutive blowout win at the U20 European Championship for Women - this time with an 81-46 victory over Belarus.

Joining Petronyte in double figures was Saule Kontauitaite with 14 points while Sarune Jasiunskaite added nine points and 10 rebounds for Lithuania, who improved to 2-3 in the Qualifying Round Group F in Sulmona.

Russia Roll Over Belarus, Into Semis

Russia booked their spot in the semi-finals of the U20 European Championship for Women with a resounding 90-50 victory over Belarus.

Yulia Lukina paced five players in double figures as Russia out-rebounded Belarus 47-24 to improve to 4-0 in the Qualifying Round Group F in Sulmona.

Kozun Late Heroics Help Belarus Past Ukraine

Natallia Kozun grabbed two offensive rebounds off missed free throws and made two foul shots in the final 44 seconds in leading Belarus to a 56-52 comeback victory over Ukraine at the U20 European Championship for Women.

Kozun scored 13 points and had six rebounds as Belarus improved to 2-1 in the Qualifying Round Group F in Sulmona.
