PLAYER HISTORY
Yulia Dureyko

Career: RUOR-Belarussian Junior NT (Belarus-Div. 1, 2002-05), Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia-Superleague, 2005-07)

Dureyko is a natural born leader and a smart player who is not afraid to jump into the heat of the fight. Despite her lack of size the 21-year-old puts up double-digit rebounding numbers.  Dureyko was the only player born in 1986 able to compete on the youth level so she had to play against girls her age with younger teammates and she confidently took the role of captain. Dureyko is a part of "Belarusian colony" of players in Nadezhda along with Verameyenka, Novikava, Rynkevich and Gorodetskaya. But Dureyko, Verameyenka and veteran Gorodetskaya (who chose not to play for Belarus) are the only ones who had guaranteed places on the first team. Unfortunately her 2006-2007 season was spoiled by injuries and Dureyko played in only half of Nadezhda‘s games.
