Meirav Dori's clutch shooting in the final minute of the game helped Israel secure a 75-69 win over Ukraine.

Dori scored only nine points, but her three-pointer with 57 seconds remaining cushioned Israel’s lead to four and her free-throws with 10 seconds to go sealed the win.

Israel outscored Ukraine 9-2 in the final minutes of the game to turn a one-point deficit into a six-point win.

Olena Savina’s three-pointer with 2:55 to go put the Ukraine up 67-66.

Jennifer Ann Fleischer,  who scored a team-high 19 points for Israel, hit a lay-up to give the lead back to Israel, 68-67.

Following an empty offensive possession for Ukraine, Liron Cohen made a lay-up to increase the margin to 70-67.

Oxana Pys'Mennyk, the game’s leading scorer with 22 points, made a jumper to get her side back to within one, but Dori struck from downtown and Israel led 73-69.

The Ukraine had three field goal attempts on their next possession, but missed them all, and Dori was sent to the line, where she made both to clinch Israel’s first win in three attempts.

The teams were close in the first half as no side had a greater advantage than six points.

The Ukraine led 38-34 at the half and increased their lead to 57-50 going into the fourth.

Israel outscored Ukraine 25-12 in the final 10 minutes.

The victors will try to make it two in a row when they take on Slovenia this Saturday, while Ukraine look to rebound against Turkey.
