A second win for Lithuania on Saturday after a 78-63 victory over Ukraine in Group B.
Lithuania is in first place with a 2-0 record while Ukraine dropped to 1-1 and will try to recover tomorrow from the 15 point loss.
Deividas Pukis led the winning side with 22 points, Jonas Valanciunas added 20 points and 13 rebounds while Vytenis Cizauskas scored 16.
Ukraine got 16 and seven rebounds from Oleksandr Prokopenko, V'Yacheslav Bobrov added 14 and Olexandr Mishula finished with only 11 after a great start.
Ukraine was strong in the game from the first moment, but lasted only one half.
For the first 20 minutes it seemed like another huge upset was on the way but Lithuania took over the game in the second, sailing for the win.
Mishula hit right before the buzzer to give his team a 23-21 lead after ten minutes, but Lithuania was about to strike back.
Pukis scored four in a row to give his team small lead mid way through the second, enough to finish the first half up by five, 36-31.
Less than three minutes inside the second half it was already a double-digit difference game.
Dovydas Redikas made it 44-33, and several minutes later Valanciunas set the difference on 16 right before the teams entered the last period.
Ukraine came closer than ten points before giving up.
Lithuania will take on Hungary tomorrow while Ukraine will face Spain.
