Artem Pustovyi has turned into a solid big man under coach Karlis Muznieks over the last two seasons with Superleague champions Khimik. Earning his minutes in a highly competitive frontcourt, Artem had career-bests in scoring with 10.5 points per game and rebounding with 4.8 boards per game, as well as achieving the League's third-best blocking average: 1.7 per game. Pustovyi went through two national team cycles under coach Fratello at EuroBasket 2013 and the 2014 FIBA World Cup, making the final cut both times. He appeared on the floor three times in Slovenia and scored 10 points, however saw no action due to an injury during the world forum in Spain. Although Pustovyi has managed to build some mass over the last couple of seasons, he needs to gain more strength to bring his game to the next level.
