Hungary And France Squeeze Through

Hosts Hungary powered their way through to the next phase of the OSTCHEM U20 European Championship Women in Sopron with a convincing 92-63 win over Ukraine on Sunday.

Defending champions France also joined Hungary in progressing out of Group B after recording a 64-43 win over Israel earlier in the day.

Ganna Zarytska scored 18 points and hauled down 12 rebounds as Ukraine overcame a sluggish start to beat Israel 75-68 in Group B.

Maryna Tkachenko's team, beaten 95-81 by defending champions France on Friday, fell behind 19-10 at the end of the first quarter.
