The German team take a 1-0 record in the group and will try to stay perfect tomorrow against Sweden, while Ukraine will seek for their debut win in this round versus Bulgaria.

Philipp Neumann contributed 24 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks for Germany, while Martin Breunig added 14 points and Patrick Heckmann scored 12 with 8 rebounds.

Olexiy Len was once again the top performer of Ukraine with 20 in addition to 17 rebounds and 9 blocks. Klym Artamonov contributed 13 with 8 rebounds.

Germany and Neumann were active from the start and took a 9-1 early margin, to reach the first 10 minutes stop with an 18-10 score.

Len was active around the rim for Ukraine, but Heckmann and Breunig stepped on the gas paddle and with a late 2nd quarter run finished the half with a 14-0 run enough to take a 21 point lead, 39-18.

With a three pointer to open the 2nd half Germany had an even bigger lead, to cruise until the final buzzer with confidence.

Len and Neumann continued to improve their stat lines, but this did not effect the bottom line of the game.
