After sitting out of EuroBasket 2009 due to a muscle injury, Marko Thomas was back in action last summer at the FIBA World Championship and will head into EuroBasket 2011 as one of the main offensive threats offensively for Croatia. Tomas comes into the tournament after a really strong first season in the Turkish League with Fenerbahce where he found success and impressed enough to grab a place at the Turkish All Star Game. Tomas knows how to score both inside and out and while at times he may look a little unorthodox, he is highly effective whether shooting the ball from the perimeter, as he demonstrated to superb effect at EuroBasket 2007, or slashing to the hoop and scoring inside. His height also makes him a valuable asset defensively and on the glass.
