Iva Sliskovic - EuroBasket Women 2013 Profile

Club Team 2012-13: Spisska Nova Ves (Slovak Republic-Extraliga)

Career: ZKK Croatia Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2000-05), South Carolina (USA-NCAA, 2003-07), MKB Euroleasing (Hungary-A, 2007-08), Real Club Celta Vigo (Spain-LF, 2008-11), Rivas Ecopolis (Spain-LF, 2011-12), ZKK Tesnjevka (Croatia-A1, 2012), Perfumerias Avenida (Spain-LF, 2012-13), Spisska Nova Ves (Slovak Republic-Extraliga, 2013)

After a highly fruitful youth career for her country which ended in 2004, the forward had to wait patiently for her chance at senior level, not playing any kind of meaningful role until post-College, when she participated in a failed qualification campaign for EuroBasket Women 2009. However, since making her major tournament debut two years ago in Poland, Sliskovic has played a major part in the recent success enjoyed by Croatia. She has had some injuries to contend with along the way, but her aggressive, yet at the same time composed approach, has been of significant benefit. She is a feisty player who works very hard and rebounds well. Reliable and solid, she will be an essential part of the rotation.
