Croatia defeated Greece, 61-50, to finish the U16 European Championship Women in ninth place.

The Croatians took an early lead and did not look back, as the Greek team lacked power in their last game to threaten the Croatian victory.

Ivana Dojkic, with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Anita Kelava, with 14 points and 15 rebounds, both had double-doubles to spark the Croatian domination.

Meanwhile, Penelopi Pavlopoulou's 12 points and Kleanthi Oikonomou's 10 rebounds were the most remarkable performances by Greek players.

Sweden downed the Netherlands, 61-51, to finish in 11th place in the U16 European Championship Women.

As the Dutch started better, the Swedish team kept the game very tight, grabbing the lead in the second quarter on a three-pointer by Anna Stern, 26-25.

In the second half, the Swedish managed their lead and cruised to victory despite a good third quarter by the Dutch.

Andjela Hrnjez, with 19 points, was the best Swedish scorer, while Anna Stern scored 11.

For the Dutch team, Janis Ndiba stood out with a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds.
