One of the most exciting players in Europe of the 1993 generation and a potential star of the future for Slovenia, 18-year-old Luka Rupnik was called into the preparation camp late after a host of injuries. While he will do well to make the final cut, even just practicing with the team could be the first step in a great future at this level. Rupnik averaged over 17 points per game at the U18 European Championship earlier in the summer and this shows how much of a marquee player he is at youth level for his country. He is smart, quick, can shoot and is a clutch player who loves responsibility down the stretch in games. Quite whether his huge potential is enough to be involved this time remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, his is most definitely a name to remember. |
