U20 European Championship
A sweet taste for Slovenia who finished their journey in Bilbao, Spain with an 80-67 victory over Greece in the 11-12 Classification game.
Slovenia earned the 11th spot in the standings, their best ranking since 2007.
Greece fell to the 12th spot after making the title game in the last two years and also winning the gold medal in 2009.
It's the third lowest ranking of Greece in the championship.
Emo Muric led Slovenia with 20 points and nine rebounds, Alen Omic had 17 points and 19 rebounds, Marko Pajic added 15 and Klemen Prepelic finished with 14.
Sokratis Psaroppoulos led Greece with 24 points and Spyridon Motsenigos contributed 16.
Slovenia took a 14-point lead already in the opening quarter with a 23-9 gap after ten minutes.
Greece missed the injured Linos Chrysikopoulos as well as point guard Dimitrios Katsivelis and without their top two players couldn't match Slovenia.
From that point on Slovenia maintained the light double-digit lead, and eventually won by 13.
