The Slovenia squad travelling to Bilbao for this week's U20 European Championship is in buoyant mood.
The side coached by Rade Mijanovic will begin its tournament on Thursday against Montenegro.
It won't get any easier for Slovenia because the next two games in Group A will be against Russia and Serbia.
But after winning nine of 11 friendly games, confidence in the Slovenia camp is high.
"We are ready and motivated," Mijanovic said.
"So far, we are thinking only of Montenegro, whom we'll face on Thursday, and that's a game we have been preparing for in recent days.
"As for the other two games, only the coaches are currently looking at them because we don't want to burden the players with them."
The captain of the Slovenia side is Tadej Ferme, who was selected by his teammates.
One sign that this Slovenia team will be tough is the presence of Edo Muric, a 2.02m forward who played for the KRKA Novo Mesto side that won this year's EuroChallenge.
