Russia Cruise Past Lithuania

U18 Women

4. Galina Kiseleva (Russia)
Russia's Galina Kiseleva exploded for 19 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor, her most productive game in the tournament so far

Russia earned their second win in a row at the Global Vision U18 European Championship Women, beating Lithuania 83-51. Both teams are fighting to avoid relegation from Division A.

The Russians produced a superb offensive game to register the fourth highest score in the tournament so far, behind Spain (two games over 90 points) and Belgium (87 points against Ukraine).

Galina Kiseleva scored 19 points, Albina Razheva added 12 and Ksenia Tikhonenko contributed with 10 for Russia.

They led 43-16 at halftime after two brilliant quarters on both ends of the floor.

Lithuania had little to do in front of a team that was coming here to fight for the medals, regardless of whether eventually they find themselves in the same predicament.

Ieva Preskienyte stopped two points shy from a double-double, finishing with eight points and 10 rebounds. Gintare Jasiunskaite was Lithuania's best scorer in this game, with nine points.

Russia finished the duel with an excellent 47.0 shooting percentage from the floor, against a poor 28.4 percent for the Lithuanian team.
