Having played with the various youth National Teams, 20-year-old Lina Pikciute now looks like she is ready to make the transition to the senior side after playing an impressive cameo role for VICI Aistes in EuroLeague Women last season. During her first campaign in Kaunas and in the elite club competition of Women's basketball, she showed her fantastic rebounding ability and ability to match up with opposing centers in the paint. While Pikciute has never been a prolific scorer, even during her days playing for her country at youth level, she has always crashed the boards really well and given plenty to the team at both ends of the floor. She has also played two seasons in EuroCup Women with her hometown club and while she didn't manage to make it onto the floor last summer in the Qualifying Round for the senior team, that could soon change as she tries to convince Coach Paulauskas she can be an effective player at the highest level.
