Lithuania chalked up their second win in the Diego Gianatti international tournament in Bormio with a 93-83 victory over Italy.
The side from the small Baltic coast state followed up their victory over Turkey on Tuesday by beating the tournament hosts.
The Italians claimed an early 30-20 lead but then the Lithuanians took over, taking a 29-point lead in the third quarter.
The Azzurri rallied in the final period and cut the deficit to 11 points with three minutes left to play but it proved to be too little too late.
Lithuania look to be in good shape with the European Championships on the horizon, but team boss Algimantis Pavilonis refused to get carried away, saying: "We can’t over-estimate the victory because some key players from Italy were not present.
It’s too early to say how strong the teams are. We have to wait.
