Iveta Salkauske

Career: University of Illinois (USA-NCAA, 2000-02), Lietuvos telekomas Vilnius (Lithuania-LMKL, 2002-03), CJM Bourges (France-LFB, 2003-04), Szolnok (Hungary-A Division, 2004-05), Villeneuve-d'Ascq (France-LFB, 2005-07), Broker Kosice (Slovakia-D1, 2007-09).

Her presence alone is a big plus for the team, especially when one remembers how well she played at the 2002 FIBA World Championship and during the last two EuroBasket Women. One of the best centers Lithuania has ever produced over the last few years, Marcauskaite spent three seasons in the NCAA at the University of Illinois, then came back to Europe and had some solid seasons in the EuroLeague Women. With her size, strength and sweet stroke from outside, she's a deadly weapon that demands constant attention from the opposing team. She did not play in the 2006 World Championship due to personal reasons, but was one of the top players for the Lithuanian national team during EuroBasket Women 2005 and 2007. During the last EuroBasket Women, she went for 18 points against Latvia, and had 14 points against future champion Russia.
