Lithuania easily secured first place in the qualifying round Group F of the U20 European Championship with an 83-51 victory over Ukraine.
Adas Juskevicius led the way with 19 points, seven assists and five steals for Lithuania, who improved to 4-1. Mindaugas Kuzminskas added 15 points and Sarunas Vasiliauskas had 12 points while Zygimantas Janavicius chipped in nine points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Vladyslav Tonchenko was the only Ukraine player to score in double figures, pouring in 19 points for Volodymyr Polyakh's team, which dropped to 2-3 and were eliminated from the quarter-finals.
Ukraine scored the first five points but watched as Rimvydas Samulenas's Lithuanians reeled off the next 13 points in a 19-3 run for an 11-point lead. And the Baltic nation was ahead 19-10 after one period.
The onslaught continued in the second quarter with Lithuania scoring the first six points and Juskevicius hitting 10 points in a 21-10 run to start the quarter for a 40-20 lead. Ukraine would eventually cut the margin to 42-27 at intermission.
Ukraine could not find a way to stop the Lithuanians after the break either with Samulenas's team going on an 18-6 run to open a 60-33 advantage, which was 65-38 after three quarters.
Lithuania slowed down a bit in the fourth quarter though they opened a 33-point lead - 76-43 - and did not let Ukraine closer than 30 points the rest of the way.
