Lithuania secured their spot in the qualifying round after beating Croatia 88-69 in the first game of Group A this afternoon.
The team from Vilnius climbed to a perfect 2-0 record while Croatia dropped to 1-1.
Croatia managed to put up a fight for one half, but saw Lithuania take off in the second half on the way to an easy win.
Martynas Gecevicius was once again the top scorer with 18 points, Adas Juskevicius added 17 and forward Lukas Brazdauskis hit 13.
Teo Petani with 13 points and Miro Bilan with 12 led the scoring sheet of the losing side.
Lithuania started the game with a 24-17 lead after one quarter despite not shooting well from long range.
Croatia were having the same difficulties connecting only one three-ball in nine attempts in the first half, but fought back, and with Bilan scoring in the paint 10 first half points finished the half down by just 10,
Gecevicius found his spot to lead his team to a 52-35 lead half way through the third quarter.
With still just a single three point hit in 30 minutes Croatia didn't have the tools to come back, and entered the last quarter down 68-43.
From there the road to the win was a cruise.
Lithuania will try to complete a perfect record tomorrow against Greece, while Croatia will face Ukraine hoping to get their second win.
