Poland Rally To Top Lithuania

Malgorzata Misiuk was huge for Poland, taking her team on her back, scoring 20 points and hauling in 11 rebounds |
Poland stormed back in the final quarter to beat Lithuania 67-60 in the qualifying round at the U20 European Championship Women.
Lithuania had led almost the entire game, and looked comfortable with a 47-32 edge midway through the third quarter.
But back-to-back baskets from Magdalena Zietara started a 12-0 Poland run that continued into the fourth quarter and shrunk the gap to just three, 47-44.
They would pull ahead, 56-55, on a three-pointer from Monika Jasnowska with 3:53 to go, and the belief seemed to drain out of Lithuania as Malgorzata Misiuk drained a pair of baskets to extend the advantage to 62-57 with 2:17 left.
They still had a chance after Laura Svaryte's score on a fast-break made it 63-59 with 1:11 to go, but after Agnieszka Sniezek split a pair of free throws, Jasnowska drained another three to make it 67-59 with just nine seconds left.
Misiuk finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Jasnowska had 14 after making four-of-seven from three-point range.
Gintare Mazionyte led Lithuania with 14 points while Santa Okockyte had 13 and Inesa Visgaudite 12.
