Netherlands, Turkey To Play For Ninth

Chatilla van Grinsven had another double-double for the Netherlands as they beat Lithuania
The Netherlands will play Turkey for ninth place at the U20 European Championship Women after both teams won their opening classification games. 

The Dutch used a big second half to see off Lithuania 68-56 as Chatilla van Grinsven enjoyed a fine game, scoring 20 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.

The Netherlands held a narrow 36-33 advantage at half-time, but began to pull away thereafter, using a 9-2 run to go up 45-35 on a pair of free throws from Martine Essenstam midway through the period.

The gap continued to grow as Lithuania struggled with their shooting, finishing 21 of 68 (30.9%) from the field.

Essenstam had 16 points for the Netherlands while Jamailah Adams added 11.

Santa Okockyte led Lithuania with 16 points.

Turkey saw off Latvia 64-51 after pulling clear with a big final quarter.

Latvia were within three, 47-44, after Dita Rozenberga split a pair of free throws early in the final quarter.

But Pinar Demirok's three-pointer capped a 15-4 run that powered Turkey clear as they went 62-48 up with 2:08 remaining.

Ozge Yavas had a huge game for Turkey with 23 points while Demirok and Ayse Cora finished with 12 points each.

Sabine Niedola led Latvia with 12 points and seven rebounds while Liga Surkusa had 11 points.
