Gutkauskaite could be compared mentally to any veteran on the national team roster. That's why she's not afraid to play one-on-one against famous opponents and draw fouls from them thanks to the quickness and sharpness of her motion. It's hard to say that she is a prolific scorer, but she can help to keep the scoreboard gently ticking over when the team needs the points. Besides, the guard focuses best on ball movement and defence. With her quick hands and energy, she uses a hard-nosed approach to neutralise her rivals. The main problem for the guard last season was injury, requiring surgery and long-term rehabilitation after tearing her ACL in October. But after half a year of absence, she returned to action and with her hard work may have convinced the coaching staff to include her back into the squad for what would be a third Final Round appearance at just 24-years-old.
