Karolína Elhotová poured in 21 points and Czech Republic used a 19-4 fourth quarter surge to beat Lithuania 75-60 at the Termosteps U16 European Championship Women.
Martina Cepelková added 16 points and Jana Hausknechtová chipped in 14 as the Czech Republic improved to 1-3 in the Qualifying Round Group E.
Neringa Skadaite scored 14 points and Monika Grigalauskyte collected nine points and 18 rebounds for the Lithuanians, who dropped to 0-4 in the group.
The Czechs surged ahead early 11-2 and back-to-back three-pointers by Hausknechtová and Elhotová helped RIchard Fousek's team extend the margin to 21-8. The Czechs would lead 26-13 after one period. Skadaite sparked an early run in the second quarter for Lithuania, bringing the lead down to 31-28. And the Czech cushion was 35-33 at intermission.

Elhotová and Hausknechtová were too much early in the second half for the Lithuanians, who had Skadaite trying to keep them in game trailing 46-38. Skadaite finally got some help from others and Kriste Druskyte's foul shots pulled Lithuania to within 46-44 before Czech Republic led 53-46 after three periods. Lithuania knotted the game at 56-56 on Laura Svaryte's foul shot with five minutes to play but Zivile Mikalauskaite's team then fell apart, missing their next five shots and turning the ball over three times as the Czechs went on a 19-4 run to close the game.
