Jovica Arsic's team stormed into a 28-15 lead by the end of the opening quarter and extended the lead to 44-23 in the second before heading to the changing rooms with a 48-35 advantage.
They outscored the Latvians 25-18 over the next 10 minutes and cruised in the fourth quarter to an impressive triumph.
Vojdan Stojanovski led a balanced Macedonian attack with 14 points with Riste Stefanov and Darius Washington pouring in 13 apiece.
Todor Gecevski weighed in with 10 points and seven rebounds and naturalized Macedonian Jeremiah Massey scored nine while pulling down five boards.
The Latvians got a big game from center Andris Biedrins, who had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
