After a nervous game with a lot of fouls Khimik Yuzhny got its second win in a row - and simultaneously secured the first place in the Group C.

Ainars Bagatskis scored 11 during the first quarter but it wasn’t enough for Euras: reliable defense of the Ukrainian team, their effective attacks initiated by playmaker Srdjan Djuric and successful free throws resulted in 12-point lead already after the first five and 28:17 lead after first ten minutes.

The scenario of the second quarter resembled that of the first one: A more successful first half for the home team – Khimik scored 11 straight in the very beginning and increased the gap to 22 points – followed by equal play of both teams during the last five minutes.

At the beginning of the second half the Russians seemed to take control of the game and decreased the gap slightly. The head coach of the Ukrainians Zvezdan Mitrovic was forced to take a time out in order to save their advantage. Euras won the third quarter by a neck, but the fourth quarter proved: Khimik wasn’t going to loose in front of their fans. The Ukranians never allowed the guest team to tie the game and even increased their lead - 26 points shortly before the end of the game.

For the first time in this year, Khimik managed to score over 100 points, due to their effectiveness in the defense with 41 rebounds. All this resulted in a confident 104:81-win.

Game MVP: Ainars Bagatskis with 40 points (Euras)
