Having not been part of the team since playing at EuroBasket Women 2009, Coach Nerips turned back to the guard during qualification, handing her 17 minutes-per-game and her experience was a big asset. She has since led SK Cesis to the Latvian Championship, scoring 20 points to clinch the silverware and comes into this summer off the back of one of the best campaigns of her career. She has been in great scoring form herself, but has been just as incredible in terms of providing for her teammates with over seven assists-per-game. That is likely to mean she can push to be the first player off the bench providing cover in the backcourt and she will be allowed to play a vital role like last summer. She is an unselfish player who is always active on the floor and is getting even better with age.
