Latvia's small band of vociferous supporters were given a treat in Bursa on Tuesday as their side demolished Greece 76-47.
There are no more than 30 of the team's most loyal fans in Bursa, but they have made their presence felt with their passionate and colourful support of their team during EuroBasket Women.
The fans were given plenty to shout about as Latvia dominated Greece from the opening tip.
A Maria Samourakova tip-in tied the scores at 2-2 for Greece following a Gunta Basko shot, but after that Lativa were off to the races.
They outscored Greece 11-0 in the next 5 minutes and Greece coach Haralambos Papazoglou was forced to take a timeout with his side trailing 13-2 after just 7 minutes of action.
Latvia led 19-9 after 10 minutes and things only got worse for Greece in the second quarter.
They were held to just 4 second quarter points, while Latvia went on an offensive tear, leading 38-13 at halftime.
Anete Jekabsone has been Latvia's main offensive threat so far in the tournament, but inside players Liene Jansone and Ieva Kublina stepped up against Greece.
Kublina in particular was unstoppable in the first half as she scorched Greece for 17 points.
In a vintage first half performance by the Latvians, they scored 15 baskets of which 10 were assisted. They also outrebounded Greece 27-11.
After such a dismal first half display, there was no way back for Greece and Latvia romped to victory.
Kublina finished with 21 points while Jansone also contributed 21 along with 15 rebounds.
Latvia, who are competing in only their second EuroBasket ever, will take on Czech Republic on Wednesday in a true test of their quarter-final aspirations.
Greece will take on Poland in a match-up which could decide which team grabs the final quarter-final spot in Group A.
