|Vasileios Charalampopoulos and Greece signed off their campaign in style with a win over a weakened Latvia squad|
Greece have easily gone past Latvia 63-46 to earn a 12th spot finish at the Dadu U16 European Championship Men.
Coming off the back of two big wins, confidence was high in the Latvian camp but they were struck a major blow when the majority of the team was deemed too ill to play, leaving them with six players to take on Greece.
After going behind by 16 points in the opening half there was no rallying back for the co-hosts as Greek guard Dimitrios Stamatis provided another big performance, finishing with 15 points and six rebounds.
Konstantinos Zorzos registered 13 points whilst Vasileios Charalampopoulos picked up 10 points and eight rebounds.
Of the players that did manage to make it onto the court for Latvia, Rudolfs Stradnieks was the best performer with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Earlier in the day, the tournament's second hosts, Lithuania, produced a much more conducive performance than 24 hours earlier, holding on to defeat the hapless Ukrainians 82-71.
Even without star big-man Domantas Sabonis, Lithuania gained control early, holding the lead throughout the opening quarter.
Ukraine came back in the second frame to keep the pressure on Lithuania until the back end of the third quarter when the home side went up by seven points, allowing the partisan crowd to breath a little easier.
The loss brought to an end a disappointing tournament for Ukraine who won their opening two games before going on to lose their next six.
Once more Aleksandr Kobets was the top performer for Ukraine, picking up 25 points and eight rebounds to end the tournament as his team's leading scorer and rebounder.
