Bringing an intriguing set of skills to the table, Freimanis will be the Latvian version of a Swiss army knife for Coach Bagatskis. The versatile 27-year-old big man from Gulbene possesses a unique inside-out game that will open up a lot of different options for Latvia. His athleticism, mobility, outside touch and the ability to put the ball on the floor make him a perfect face-up power forward in today's game. Despite being slightly less comfortable at the ‘5', he is strong enough to defend most centers too. Having started the season with Kalev/Cramo, Freimanis was on fire for the Estonian side averaging 18.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the VTB League before moving to Unics Kazan in January.
