Despite having played seven youth tournaments for Latvia, the guard is yet to pull on a senior vest for her country, but that could be about to change after finishing last season as one of the main players for Karlovy Vary in the Czech League. Eglite played in college at UTEP alongside fellow Latvian prospect Anete Steinberga and brings a back-up option to the table for Coach Nerips. She is a very economical guard who might not have an eye for the spectacular or prolific scoring, but does the simple things as well as anybody by making nice passes and taking great care of the ball. She is also capable defensively and will always have the confidence to drain an outside shot if she's left open by her opponents.
