Dita Krumberga

Career: Mount St.Mary’s (USA-NCAA, 2004-07)

Krumberga grew up playing at the famous Riga TTP sport school. Though not seen as a splendid talent, she was a hardworking perimeter player with good shooting skills and was one of the leaders of her age group. Unfortunately a serious knee injury almost ended her career in basketball before it had even started. At 19 she went to the USA to pursue her studies. In time her knee improved and the coach at Mount St. Mary’s University immediately recognized her talent. Offense is Krumberga’s strongest side: in 2007 the 23-year-old was selected to the All-Northeast Conference first team after averaging 17.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
