Spain will face Russia in Sunday's 5th-6th place game at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz, France.
The Spaniards beat Italy 84-72 thanks to some balanced scoring which saw five players score in double-digits.
Greece beat Israel 80-54 to finish 3-0 in Group G of the Classification Round at the U18 European Championship Men 2009 in Metz France.
The result saw Greece hold on to their Division A status while the loss for Israel - combined with Ukraine's 79-70 win over the Czech Republic - saw them fall to 1-2 only good enough for third place and more importantly relegate them to Division B.
Russia went on an incredible run midway through the second half to take the lead and then cruise to a 72-58 win over Latvia in the Qualifying Round at the U18 European Championship Men in Hagondange, France.
The Russians, who were playing catch-up for much of the first two and a half quarters, scored 18 consecutive points to turn a 39-37 deficit into a 55-39 lead over a period of more than six minutes and 30 seconds spanning the second part of the third quarter and the early part of the final period.
Lithuania pulled away in the third and fourth quarters to turn a close game into a beating, crushing Latvia 89-60 in the Qualifying Round at the U18 European Championship Men in Hagondange, France.
Latvia proved a worthy adversary as they recovered from an early nine-point deficit to tie the game at 37 with 8:15 left to play in the third quarter but were then outscored 62-23 as Lithuania, who had a poor shooting first half, eventually found their stroke to remain the only undefeated team in the tournament.
