A well-travelled veteran with three seasons of Euroleague experience under his belt, Kristjan Kangur will undoubtedly be the most important player for Estonia at EuroBasket 2015, both on and off the court. Having made his international debut as a 20-year-old in 2002, the forward has played an important role for the national team ever since, assuming the captaincy role in 2011. Kangur has been dominating the Estonian Player of the Year ballots since 2009, winning the award seven times in a row. Although the 32-year-old may not be able to singlehandedly carry the load offensively, he will be the ultimate glue guy, who can do a little bit of everything. A prime athlete earlier in his career, Kangur is still a great defender and will most likely be tasked with defending the other team's best frontcourt player. Having been there every step of the way through Estonia's 14-year-long struggle to qualify for the final stage of the competition, EuroBasket 2015 could very well be the only opportunity for Kangur to represent his country on the big stage.
