BASKETBALL IN EUROPE
|Kayseri moved fast to sign EuroLeague Women Final Eight MVP Asjha Jones and everything indicates this was not their last big move |
Kayseri Kaskispor got a taste of the big time this season when the Turkish team made it to the EuroCup Women Final.
Although the Turkish outfit lost over two legs to Dynamo Kursk, the hunger for success remains.
That is evident by the club's activity in the player market.
The team swooped for Asjha Jones almost immediately after the USA international was named MVP of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight in early April.
They followed that up by bringing in Nuria Martinez, following the Spanish guard's spell with Umbertide in Italy this season.
Kayseri have also added pivot Nicky Anosike and there is now rampant media speculation that Greece international Evina Maltsi is to join the team.
According to reports in Greece, Maltsi has signed a one-year contract with the Turkish club.
