USK Prague head coach Lubor Blazek goes into Thursday's EuroLeague Women game at home against Bourges Basket hoping his team is better prepared to play an up-tempo game.
The Czech side certainly did not cope last week when hit with a first-quarter blitz by UMMC Ekaterinburg, who stormed out to a 22-9 first-quarter lead en route to an 85-43 triumph.
"The performance the Ekaterinburg team showed wasn't a big surprise for us," Blazek said.
"I'd like to thank the opponents for good basketball.
"But we were confused at the beginning of the game as they played very quick.
"We lost many balls during the first five minutes and the opponents opened up a big lead during that time.
"We weren't able to react at once, to find the strength to break the course of the game."
Blazek's team rebounded from that defeat by winning in the Trocal Czech League against Sparta Prague, 95-93, a result which improved the team's record to 6-0 on the season.
