USK Prague forward Sandra Le Drean was the star performer as she helped give her side a 60-51 win over Bourges Basket in EuroLeague Women Group B.
The 30-year-old, who previously played for French sides INSEP, Aix and Valenciennes before making the switch to Prague, weighed in with the game`s highest total with 16 points.
USK had dominated the first quarter and Marketa Mokrosova and Michala Hartigova both had prominent roles to give the Czech Republic side a 11-9 lead.
Bourges, who reached the Final Four last year, fought back strongly in the second quarter and held a 30-27 lead at the half-time break with forward Sonja Petrovic proving influential.
USK quickly responded and restored their advantage in the the third period as Le Drean came into her own despite the best efforts of forward Belinda Snell who would go on to collect 13 points.
The final quarter belonged to USK as they showed their composure to control the decisive period.
Sonja Kireta did her best to try and haul Bourges back in taking her points total to 15 but Le Drean proved to be much for her compatriots to take USK to victory.
