Gambrinus Sika Brno are celebrating a 12th successive Czech Cup after beating ZVVZ USK Prague 79-66 to lift the trophy.

The Czech giants had gone nine years and three days without losing a league game but that streak is now over after Jan Bobrovsky and Co fell at home on Saturday to fellow EuroLeague Women outfit, USK Praha.

USK Prague coach Lubor Blazek remained proud of his team even after they crashed out of the EuroLeague Women at the hands of Spartak Moscow Region.

Spartak cruised to a 82-54 victory in Tuesday's first game, but they were made to work harder in a 67-52 win on Friday and Blazek was delighted with the way his troops performed.

Thompson Lifts Spartak To Victory // 02 February 2007

Another big night from Tina Thompson propelled Spartak Moscow Regions into the quarter-finals of EuroLeague Women with a 67-52 win over USK Prague on the road.

Thompson, who poured in 25 points in the opening game of this Eighth Final play-off on Tuesday, scored 17 and grabbed 11 rebounds in Friday's decisive victory.
