Czech Republic: Sam Sidelined By USK

02.11.2005

USK Praha travel to their second game of the EuroLeague Women against Belgian side Dexia Namur on Thursday without Sheri Sam.

The American has not convinced USK with her recent performances and they have decided not to include her in the team.

The game will see both Praha and Namur fighting for their first win in this competition after defeats to USO Mondeville and VBM Samara respectively in the first round.

"Namur are not as well known as, for example, Samara (Volgaburmash) but they have a good team with good European and American players," said coach Lubor Blazek on www.basket.idnes.cz.

"They are not outsiders anyway.

"We know what will work well against them and we will talk about that in our last training session this evening."
